Trouble flared up in the David Fishwick Stand after the Turf Moor derby with photos and a video clip on YouTube appearing to show officers striking fans with batons.
A total of 42 supporters were arrested and 12 charged after the game on March 28th with some complaining about what they felt was "aggressive" treatment by the police.
However, after examining CCTV and web footage, the Independent Police Complaints Commission has decided the incident did not warrant being investigated further by themselves.
