Vic: Industrial action stops printing presses at The Age
MELBOURNE, Feb 21 AAP - Industrial action in Melbourne overnight has prevented hundreds
of thousands of copies of The Age newspaper from being printed.
The Age said a picket and a blockade at its printing centre in Tullamarine prevented
staff from entering the building last night.
The industrial action was taken over the closure of the newspaper's CBD printing press
and the sacking of 80 workers earlier this month.
